President’s Message,

Pomona Host Lions Club has been serving the community for over 100 years. We are a dedicated group of individuals who care deeply about the welfare of the community, and the opportunities for assistance in the lives of others. We engage in a variety of projects such as cooking for the Pomona Homeless Shelter monthly, providing reading books for first graders in the PUSD, hosting our annual vision screening opportunity and participating in a plethora of community activities.

My motto for this year is “Serving with justice, kindness and humility.” Service with justice, kindness and humility means seeking what is right and fair, and not necessarily what is popular or trendy. It allows for compassion, mercy and putting others’ needs and feelings before our own. It opens the door to give and to accept forgiveness because none of us are perfect. And it acknowledges that we will not always be right, but when we are, we can also be humble. These are the tenets by which I choose to lead our club this coming year. I hope you will consider joining our Lions family as a member and being part of an amazing year. Together we are stronger, together we are better!
